Lawn Enhancement
How does a lawn enhancement work?
Through dethatching, aerating, and overseeding, your lawn can be transformed from unhealthy and yellow to a yard full of lucious green grass in less than 6 weeks.
Step 1: Dethatching
Thatch is a barrier of dead grass that limits grasses accessibility to water and natural minerals.
Dethatching rakes out the layer of ‘thatch’ built up from years of clippings falling back into your lawn
The loose clippings are collected.
Dethatching removes the dying and yellowish appearance of your lawn.
Step 2: Aerating
Foot traffic and lawn mowers are the leading reasons for soil compaction in your yard. This leads to patchy grass, low areas that collect water, and overall declined grass health.
Core aeration fixes this issue by removing 3 inch cores from your lawn.
This allows the compacted dirt to be opened up so that air, water, natural supplements, and the newly laid seed can settle in.
Step 3: Overseeding
A certain type of seed, based on your current grass type, is spread on your lawn
This seed will settle in and grow new healthy green grass.
It will fall into the newly formed aeration holes and the surrounding areas.
New grass will start to sprout within 3-4 weeks.
Step 4: Enjoy!
The new green, thick, and healthy grass will be set in and growing 6-8 weeks after the service.
Maintenance:
Maintenance is necessary to sustain the condition of your yard. Once the first service is completed, an annual aeration is highly encouraged.
Scheduling:
Lawns in the Lehigh valley have cool-season grass. Because of this, new seed should be planted when the weather is warm enough for grass to grow but not hit enough to burn it out
Lawn renovations will take place through the month of May.
